Jeniffer Sanchez is a Los Angeles-based artist, danzante, choreographer, director, and producer who began studying and performing Danza Azteca as a child. She gained a deeper understanding of the importance of artistic expression and learned that creativity has the power to transcend boundaries, communicate ideas, and connect individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Formative experiences in her hometown of Los Angeles laid the foundation for her artistic journey and instilled in her a lifelong commitment to promoting expression and preserving cultural traditions through her work.

Projects

  • Jeniffer Sanchez operates at the intersection of performance art, multimedia theater, and Mesoamerican dance tradition. Her current project is Danza Divina de Los Angeles, a Danza Azteca troupe.

  • Thanks to a grant from Eastside Arts Initiative, California Creative Corps, Los Angeles Performance Practice, and California Arts Council, she recently produced and directed a multimedia Danza performance celebrating Mexica New Year called "La Ofrenda" at the Margo Albert Theater.
